Round Views is an ongoing series of round paintings (tondi). They refer to street scenes and banal places that are quintessential to the urban American way of life. The scenes are observed from a high vantage point, and they imply a remote, anonymous “eye” constantly watching the movement of people and traffic down below, changing its view angle, zooming in and out, focusing on one particular element. The composition therefore is a simultaneous view of many different moments in time.
